for SOUTHERN MIDDLESEX COUNTY REGISTER OF DEEDS SEAT

SOMERVILLE – Top Rated Somerville Attorney Maria Curtatone (D-Somerville) heats up the end of summer with her candidacy for Southern Middlesex Register of Deeds in preparation for the election on Thursday, September 6, 2012.

“The role of Middlesex (South) Register of Deeds is absolutely critical to ensuring the accessibility and security of the records and administration of the forty-four (44) municipalities within the county,” Curtatone said. “I believe that my long experience as a professional attorney, small business owner, administrator, and community leader serving Middlesex County makes me an ideal candidate to deliver and enhance the vital services and administration of the Registry.”

Within these last days until the election on Thursday, September 6th, the last part of the summer, Curtatone continues to heat up the momentum of her campaign with various appearances, social gatherings, stand out events and other essential visibility throughout Middlesex County.

Curtatone has a strong commitment to the people of Middlesex County and wishes to continue and substantially expand on the tradition of security and service for records and administration. As Register, Curtatone intends to:

• Utilize state of the art technology to make the Registry more accessible, efficient, and user friendly
• Fix the 8 year backlog in Land Records/Court by addressing matters swiftly, speeding up the workflow
• Ensure information contained in property records is secure and maintained
• Promote and implement a strengthened focus on customer service and individual attention
•  Create a system with plain and simple instructions as well as increased multi-lingual capabilities
• Curtatone currently operates her 25 year old law practice from Somerville, Massachusetts, providing representation in a wide variety of legal matters to the residents of Middlesex County and the Commonwealth, and is the proud mother of two children.
